sustainable kelp
Our 100% New Zealand Kelp powder is sustainably hand-harvested from beach cast Ecklonia Radiata along the remote North Island coastline.
It is a versatile ingredient, adding umami to soups, sauces, and as a sprinkle on top of food. It is well-suited to Asian cuisine and plant based meals as it is a source of iodine and other valuable minerals that can add to a sustainable diet.
It is dried and powdered in a food grade processing facility and has a shelf life of 2-3 years. Packaged in re-useable and recyclable glass with biodegradable labelling.
We reduce, reuse, and recycle our waste as much as possible.
KELP is VITAL
Kelp forests provide habitat and food for fish and other marine species, and are as fundamental to life in the ocean as trees are on land.
Kelp forests are threatened by overfishing, invasive species such as caulerpa and kina, pollution, and other factors relating to climate change.
LEADERS must PROTECT
Governments need to act quickly to protect their oceans from these threats. Their coastal communities, climate commitments, and aquaculture industry depend on their actions.
An INCUBATOR for NATURE
We are driving to use seaweed for scalable positive change and environmental returns.
We are creating new technology and IP with sustainability in mind, designed to be both beneficial and eco-friendly, locally scalable, and reproducible to other locations.
We intend to create multiple food and speciality food products in seaweed including condiments, broth, and proteins.
LEVERAGING FRAMEWORKS
Our unique collaboration framework with partners can accelerate new opportunities locally and abroad.
